 Melton Mowbray congregational church MIs
The church is situated in Chapel Street. This transcript of the memorial inscriptions was made in February/March 1972 by Ronald and Mary Pearse, and computerized by Janet Gould. It covers:

1. Memorials in the disused burial ground
2. Memorials in the Church

The transcriptions regarding the burial ground are based on a statement of tombstones
and monuments prepared by the Urban District Council of Melton Mowbray in connection
with its acquisition of a legal estate in the disused burial ground as an open space within the meaning of the Open Spaces Act 1906.

The statement was checked and amplified in the preparation of this list. Most of the memorials were removed by the Urban District Council shortly afterwards.
